The Golden Dawn members get inside and break everything with sticks and crowbars. They throw Golden Dawn propaganda material around and injure the landlord of the premises. The English teacher, along with some of the pupils, locks herself in the bathroom for protection. In September 2019, Lagos and Michos receive an eight-month suspended sentence for instigating the attack.

Η καμπάνια «Βάλ’ τους Χ – Ο Μαύρος Χάρτης της Αθήνας» σχεδιάστηκε με σκοπό να εντοπίσει μέσα στην πόλη και να αναδείξει την αφανή εγκληματικότητα που συνδέεται με τις ρατσιστικές επιθέσεις στον δημόσιο χώρο.

Η διαδικασία της δίκης της Χρυσής Αυγής έχει φέρει στο φως τα δεκάδες ρατσιστικά εγκλήματα, κυρίως εναντίον μεταναστών και προσφύγων. Εντούτοις η πλήρης διάσταση της εγκληματικής, ρατσιστικής της δράσης δεν είναι επαρκώς γνωστή. Με αυτή την καμπάνια προσπαθούμε να στοιχειοθετήσουμε την τοπογραφία της ρατσιστικής βίας. Να κάνουμε περισσότερο γνωστή στο ευρύ κοινό τη σκοτεινή διάσταση και την επικινδυνότητά της. Να διαμορφώσουμε έτσι, με την πολύτιμη συνδρομή 25 δημιουργών της οπτικής εικόνας, τον αντιρατσιστικό χάρτη της πόλης.

Γιατί η ρατσιστική βία είναι αόρατη μόνο όταν δεν θέλουμε να τη δούμε, όταν αποφεύγουμε να την αντιμετωπίσουμε. Το 2019 θα είναι η κομβική, τελευταία χρονιά της σημαντικότερης και μεγαλύτερης δίκης της εποχής μας. Προσπαθήσαμε να οπτικοποιήσουμε ένα μικρό μόνο μέρος αυτής της «τοπογραφίας της βίας» που εκκινεί από τη Χρυσή Αυγή και τον ακροδεξιό φασισμό, ώστε να συμβάλουμε να γίνουν γνωστά τα εγκλήματά τους στο ευρύ κοινό και η δολοφονική τους δράση να μη μείνει ατιμώρητη.

Who we are
The campaign “X them out! A Black Map of Athens” is designed to pinpoint and highlight the unseen criminality related to racist attacks in the public space.

The Golden Dawn trial has brought to light dozens of racist crimes, mostly against migrants and refugees. However, the full extent of its criminal, racist activity is not adequately known. With this campaign, we attempt to establish a topography of racist violence. We seek to make its dark dimensions and its deadly nature more familiar to the general public. To this end, we want to create, with the valuable support of 25 visual artists, an antiracist map of our city.

Racist violence is invisible only when we do not wish to see it, when we avoid confronting it. This year, 2019, is the crucial, final year of the most important and biggest trials of our time. We have tried to visualise just a small part of this “topography of violence” that has its origins in Golden Dawn and fascism, in order to contribute to acquainting the general public with their crimes and in punishing their murderous activity.
